PEROXIDASIC ACTIVITY IN THE EMBRYONARY ROOTS OF TRITICUM, LOLIUM, AND BROMUS, AFTER CARIOPS GERMINATION ON THE FILTER PAPER MOISTED WITH AN AQUEOUS EXTRACT OF BLACK WALNUT (JUGLANS NIGRA L.) LEAVES

Abstract. In our experiment, we studied the peroxidasic activity in Triticum aestivu m L., Lolium perene L., and Bromus inermis L. roots of plantlets, in the 7th day of cariops germination on filter paper substrate moisted with aqueous extract, which was prepared in different concentrations (5, 15, 25, 50, 75 and 100%), from young leaves of black walnut (Juglans nigra L.). Peroxidasic activity was intensified at the smaller concentrations of extract (5-25%), and at high concentration the enzyme activity was diminished.
