ABSTRACT. The development of electronic components technology has created the possibility to replace traditional incandescent bulbs, or fluorescent tubes, with ultrabright LEDs. In this experiment we’ve tested this replacement in Sequoia sempervirens (D. Don) Endl. vitrocultures illumination, where the results were very good, depending to the light wave length used at each experimental variant which, in some cases, reveals a better growth then when the plants were illuminated with fluorescent light.
