ABSTRACT. The study had been conducted on 10 bone pieces, 10 femurs. The measurements were taken at the superior extremity of the femur, closely to the place of junction between the epiphysis and diaphysis. The compression force that led to the break of the bone varied in accordance with the bone density, ranging between 150 and 730 daN at the level of the proximal epiphysis, and 140 and 750 daN at the level of the distal epiphysis, the bending resistance was included in the study as well.
